You can never have too many gift ideas this time of
year so take a look at what has caught my eye recently. This guide hopefully
offers some unique ideas that aren't already in a thousand other online gift
guides. We'll get things started with free (or at least very close) ideas and
work our way up from there.
FREE!
Many of these free ideas are either gifts of knowledge/skill or useful things
you can make out of paper.
I Will Knot!
Maybe it's the fact that I never was in the Scouts surfacing again, but I think
a great skill you can share with others is how to tie knots.
I Will Knot! has some
excellent videos that illustrate how to tie everything from stoppers, to
hitches, to bends.
Notepaper Generator
This is a slick online tool that lets you customize your name, phone number,
project name, select a font, show punch holes or not and even specify the line
height. The result is a PDF that you can then print as needed.

An excellent example of less-is-more. This site has an impressive Flash-driven
configurator to walk you through creating your own customized PocketMod.

Paper
Rocket
You might want to build this one for yourself. The potential for office hijinks
is strong with this one.

UPN: Ultimate Pocket Notebook
Not as easy as the PocketMod...you'll need to roll up your sleeves a bit for
this one but the end result looks like to be a very useful and versatile
notebook.
