PERFORMANCE AT 1680x1050
Benchmark results begin at the resolution of 1680x1050, which is native to most 22" widescreen LCD monitors. Prices of monitors in this range start around $165 with models by Acer and Samsung being among the most popular brands.
The benchmark results are provided with bar charts, which contain the average frame rate of both graphics cards for each test using no antialiasing, 4x multisampling antialiasing, and sometimes 8x multisampling antialiasing. The operating system used is also listed.
Results Analysis
With the exception of Far Cry 2, both graphics cards offered excellent performance at 1680x1050. Performance was close in Left 4 Dead, Dead Space, and Fallout 3, but the EVGA GeForce GTX 260 Core 216 Superclocked showed a larger lead in Call of Duty: World at War. The PowerColor Radeon HD 4870 1GB led in Far Cry 2 under Windows XP.

Glitches
Note that under Windows Vista, the only resolutions available in Far Cry 2 on the PowerColor Radeon HD 4870 1GB were 1280x800 and 2560x1600.
