Benchmarks for the resolution of 2560x1600, which are supported by a few expensive 30" LCD monitors, are provided here.

Results Analysis

For the most part, the results at 2560x1600 mirror those at the resolution of 1920x1200. The EVGA GeForce GTX 260 Core 216 Superclocked extended its lead in Left 4 Dead, Dead Space, and in Fallout 3, with the exception of 8x antialiasing. It is possible that the additional graphics memory on the PowerColor Radeon HD 4870 1GB proved to be difference here.

Far Cry 2 benchmarks under Windows Vista finally appear for the PowerColor Radeon HD 4870 1GB, where the only in-game resolutions had been 1280x800 and 2560x1600. Although the PowerColor Radeon HD 4870 1GB led in three of the four Far Cry 2 tests, the game is unplayable at this resolution and begs for a multi-GPU configuration. Also noteworthy is that performance in Far Cry 2 was faster under Windows Vista than it was under Windows XP on both graphics cards.
