HALO

Halo was benchmarked using the built-in timedemo with the default settings. Both the GeForce G6600 GT and Radeon 9800 Pro support pixel shader version 2.0, which is the rendering path used by the benchmark.

UNREAL TOURNAMENT 2004

Unreal Tournament was benchmarked using a custom demo from the Inferno map. The minimum frame rate on the GeForce 6600 GT AGP occurred in the scene pictured below. At 1600x1200 with 4X AA and 8X AF using the Quality Image setting the minimum frame rate was 20.

Note that with the GeForce 6600 GT AGP, the test system rebooted a number of times during the course of this preview while exiting from UT2004. Ongoing forum discussions have pointed out that this issue may be related to the Data Execution Prevention (DEP) feature in Windows XP Service Pack 2. Benchmark Results

FAR CRY

Far Cry was benchmarked using the standard demos provided by Ubisoft. The long awaited version 1.3 patch was released last month and includes support for Shader Model 3.0 and High Dynamic Range lighting both of which are features exclusive to the GeForce 6 Series.

The following benchmark results are based on using the Very High quality game setting.
