INTRODUCTION
Most of you are very familiar with
BFG Technologies and their
true
lifetime warranty and 24/7 tech support. For those of you that don't know
much about BFG Technologies, you can
read more of what I've presented on their company in a past review. In a
nutshell, BFG Technologies has a glowing reputation for producing high quality
gaming hardware with the gamer truly in mind. They also pride themselves in
their true lifetime warranty and tech support all of which is backed up by consumers'
experiences.
Now, down to business. We're obviously examining the BFG Technologies GeForce
6800 Ultra OC. We'll also toss in an ATI X800XT PE to see how the competition
fares.
SPECIFICATIONS Mike Chambers has already
thoroughly covered the NVIDIA 6800 Ultra reference design so take a peek at
that if you want a refresher. You can also head over to BFG's website for their
list of
specifications on the 6800 Ultra OC. Now that you've checked out the specs
you noticed that the BFG 6800 Ultra OC is, in fact, factory overclocked
regarding the core. The 425MHz core clock is a ~6% gain from NVIDIA's reference
design. BFG doesn't offer a non-overclocked 6800 Ultra. In this review I'll push
this card even further. If you're in the market for card of this caliber, odds are
that you're going to want to push it as well.
