UNREAL TOURNAMENT 2004 DEMO PERFORMANCE

The Unreal Tournament 2004 demo generated a lengthy discussion in our Games Forum. The retail version has the all-new Assault and Onslaught game modes and the debut of land and air based vehicles. We even ran across the Special Edition selling for almost twice the retail price on eBay.

Unreal Tournament 2004 Demo

The following timedemo results are based on 3DCenter's Flyby from the ONS-Torlan map. The Bench'emAll! utility was used to execute the timedemo at various resolutions and levels of antialiasing and anisotropic texture filtering.

Unreal Tournament 2004 Demo Performance

NVIDIA continues to work on improving the performance of the GeForce FX in Unreal Tournament 2004, which was mentioned as the cause of the delay of the recent ForceWare Release 55 drivers. The Chaintech 5700 Ultra Apogee provides respectable performance at 1024x768 with 2X antialiasing (AA) and 2X anisotropic filtering (AF) and at 1280x1024 with no AA and no AF. However, keep in mind that the demo does not contain the high-resolution textures that are part of the retail version.
