Review By Steve Angelly - March 9, 2006
Today, NVIDIA will be announcing their new GeForce 7900 Series of Graphics Processing Units (GPU). EVGA, which is one of NVIDIA's top add-in card partners, provided us with an overclocked version of their e-GeForce 7900 GT CO Superclocked graphics card.
Based on a 90nm-fabrication process, the core clock speed of the e-GeForce 7900 GT CO Superclocked is set at 550MHz and is paired with 256MB of Samsung 1.4ns GDDR3 memory running an an effective clock speed of 1580MHz right out of the box! The reference clock speed of the GeForce 7900 GT is 450MHz/1320MHz effective
Rumors have been floating around that a stock GeForce 7900 GT will be capable of out-performing the 256MB version of the GeForce 7800 GTX, which debuted in June of 2005.
