eVGA Personal Cinema Review - Page 2 of 8

eVGA PERSONAL CINEMA

Included within the box is the eVGA Personal Cinema card, the audio/video breakout box, remote control, USB infrared receiver, DVI-to-VGA converter, installation and user guides, S-Video and Composite (RCA) cables and the aforementioned software.

The first item that catches your eye is the large metallic Philips TV Tuner. This allows the user to connect the cable from the antennae directly to the computer system. The TV Tuner only supports analog cable signals. The Personal Cinema edition of the card has been constructed around the fact that the card has to house such a large adapter, and as such the extra components atop the PCB have been kept to a minimal. The card arrives with 4 FBGA memory modules, two of which are located on the backside of the card to free up more room on the component-side of the card. The card uses a matching silver heatsink for cooling.
