Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory is the third installment of Ubisoft's leading tactical spy game. With stealth and secrecy being the primary requirements for a successful mission, the Splinter Cell series is a much slower-paced game than your typical first person shooter. As such, the development team has placed a very high importance on shadows and proper light behavior, resulting in awesome visuals and the inclusion of High Dynamic Range option through Shader Model 3.0.

Being such a slow-paced game, 30+ frames is all that's required for a great gaming experience. Might as well take everything we can get, as is the case with 1600x1200 and 4x AA and 8x AF
Enabling HDR provides a more convincing environment within the game. The screen captures above display how a better management of the light source can impact the wall it is illuminating as well as the rocks along the cave wall. The colors are also more vivid when HDR is enabled.
