Inno3D GeForce 9600 GT iChiLL Hurricane Review - Page 6 of 8

PERFORMANCE AT 1920x1200

At the resolution of 1920x1200, the average frame rate of the GeForce 9600 GT was around 20% behind the GeForce 8800 GT. At this resolution, the performance of the GeForce 9600 GT began to dwindle in heavy stress tests and with 4x antialiasing enabled.

For example, while the frame rate in BioShock and Oblivion both averaged 48fps with no antialiasing, the actual gameplay felt sluggish on occasion. In these situations, potential owners of the GeForce 9600 GT might find themselves having to lower the quality of certain in-game graphics settings in order to achieve optimal performance.

Performance at 1920x1200

At 1920x1200, the minimum frame rate dipped below 30 fps on the GeForce 9600 GT in the following tests:

29 fps - BioShock - No Antialiasing
27 fps - World in Conflict Demo - Medium
26 fps - Call of Duty 4 - 4x Antialiasing
26 fps - Crysis - Medium
18 fps - STALKER - No Antialiasing
17 fps - World in Conflict Demo - High
15 fps - Crysis - No Antialiasing - High
