Half-Life 2 is still one of my favorite games, and it can still give some of the newer cards a run for their money. Below are
the results of running an action-filled sequence of Half-Life 2: Lost Coast using 1024x768 and 1600x1200 resolutions with the
stock iChill 7900GS. Whenever antialiasing was enabled, Supersampling and Gamma Correct were both enabled.
Half-Life 2: Lost Coast | 1024x768 Stock
Half-Life 2: Lost Coast | 1600x1200 Stock
We see a lot of ups and downs on the graphs. Now, lets see how we do with the same resolutions with the overclocked iChill 7900GS.
Half-Life 2: Lost Coast | 1024x768 Overclocked
Half-Life 2: Lost Coast | 1600x1200 Overclocked
Using the results of 8xSAA and 16xAF, we see a 0.9% increase from stock to overclocked at 1024x768 and a 6.2% increase from stock to overclocked at 1600x1200.
