Quake 4 is an excellent new take on the Quake franchise. Below are the results of running an action-filled sequence
of Quake 4 using 1024x768 and 1600x1200 resolutions with the stock iChill 7900GS. Whenever antialiasing was enabled,
Supersampling and Gamma Correct were both enabled.
Quake 4 | 1024x768 Stock
Quake 4 | 1600x1200 Stock
With the engine locked at 60fps in-game, you can see that the lower resolutions with lower antialiasing have almost a straight-line graph. Now,
lets see how we do with the same resolutions with the overclocked iChill 7900GS.
Quake 4 | 1024x768 Overclocked
Quake 4 | 1600x1200 Overclocked
Using the results of 8xSAA and 16xAF, we see a 4.4% increase from stock to overclocked at 1024x768 and a 7.3% increase from stock to overclocked at 1600x1200.
