Inno3D GeForce 8800 GT i-ChiLL Review - Page 6 of 7

PERFORMANCE AT 2560x1600

The highest image quality is provided at the resolution of 2560x1600, which is exclusive to 30" widescreen LCDs from Apple, Hewlett-Packard and Samsung. Prices for these models range from $1,100 to $1,599.

At the resolution of 2560x1600, the Inno3D GeForce 8800 GT i-ChiLL delivered an average of 32 fps or higher in all of the titles tested. Although a single GeForce 8800 GT is capable of gaming at the 2560x1600 resolution of a 30" widescreen LCD, performance can be sluggish at times as shown by BioShock and Call of Duty with 4x AA enabled.

SLI was especially effective here as performance on average rose by 72%.

Game Performance at 2560x1600

With the stressful titles and settings, the Inno3D GeForce 8800 GT i-ChiLL delivered good performance in most, but performed poorly in Oblivion (HDR + 4x AA) and Crysis (High + No AA). However, this is to be expected and in these situations it is best to be equipped with a graphics card with more than 512MB of memory for serious gaming at the 2560x1600 resolution.
