MSI NX8800GT Review - Page 8 of 12

PERFORMANCE AT 1920x1200

Next are test results at the resolution of 1920x1200, which exceeds the quality of the 1080 high-definition video mode. This resolution is native to most 24" widescreen LCD monitors and a few 24" and 28" LCD monitors. Prices of these models range from $375 to over $1,000 with ViewSonics VX2835wm 28" model competitively priced.

Even at the resolution of 1920x1200, the MSI NX8800GT is such a strong competitor to the GeForce 8800 GTX, that the same AA settings that were reported at the resolution of 1680x1050 are also reported here. Once again, the NX8800GT is outperforming the GeForce 8800 GTX in Dark Messiah and in two of the three settings in Oblivion.

Game Performance at 1920x1200

As the resolution increased from 1680x1050 to 1920x1200 with 4x AA enabled, the performance difference between the MSI NX8800GT and GeForce 8800 GTX began to shrink. This trend continued until the 512MB of memory available on the MSI NX8800GT became fully utilized.
