With the extra horsepower available from a mixed-vendor SLI configuration, additional benchmarks were run under a variety of resolutions and levels of antialiasing. For example, the following questions are being pondered:
At what resolutions will the average frame rate exceed 60 fps with 4x antialiasing in Far Cry 2?
Will antialiasing performance of World in Conflict significantly increase at the resolutions of 1920x1200 and 2560x1600 with high line of sight resolution, water reflects clouds and extra debris on explosions enabled?
How will Oblivion perform at the resolutions of 1920x1200 and 2560x1600 with high-quality antialiasing?
Will an SLI configuration be able to deliver an average of 60fps with 2x antialasing at the resolution of 2560x1600 in Neverwinter Nights 2?
Let's find out...
SLI Benchmarks - Antialiasing Disabled
SLI had a positive effect on performance and delivered an average increase of 64%. However certain graphics settings in Neverwinter Nights 2 will have to be toned down or even disabled altogether to deliver acceptable performance at higher resolutions and/or levels of antialiasing. Water reflections and refractions and shadow quality are special effects that will impact graphics performance.
