This java applet displays screenshots from the Radeon 9800 Pro and GeForce FX 5900 Ultra using the FSAA Tester program with various modes of antialiasing. Antialiasing is a technique that's used to provide a smoother appearance to jagged edges.
A heading for each antialiasing mode shown by this program appears above the image. Clicking on a heading will reveal the screenshot that was taken with the chosen method of antialiasing enabled. Please be patient while the image is being downloaded from the server as they average around 160KB in size. After all the images have be downloaded to your PC and saved in your cache area, you'll be able to quickly switch between them to see the differences in quality.
To better see the effects of antialiasing, center the image and then position your head about 12-16 inches away from your monitor while viewing the various screenshots. Keep an eye out on how well the various methods of antialiasing work on horizontal, vertical, and angled edges. Another area to focus on is the yellow text.
