The Viper V770 Ultra contains an abundance of features that one would expect from a state of the art graphics accelerator. Definitely enough features to grab the attention of the "hard core" gamer.
Ultra fast core and memory speeds with bundled software (InControl Tools 99) to provide overclocking to higher speeds, 32MB of 5.5ns SDRAM memory, support for Intels' AGP bus (1X, 2X, and 4X), solid OpenGL/Direct 3D drivers, and great image quality.
While the Viper V770 Ultra offers a 300MHz RAMDAC, to provide high refresh rates, and MPEG-2 playback from DVD-ROM, this card was first and foremost engineered with the gamer in mind. This review will put most of these features to the test.
The most notable feature missing from this list of features is TV-Out capability. At the time this review was posted, only ASUS, ELSA, and Leadtek offered TV-Out on their TNT2 based graphics accelerators.
