Kingpin Benchmarks
Kingpin was developed using the Quake 2 engine and contains enhancements such as fog and complex textures. Similar to the decrease in frames per second at all resolutions that occurred when comparing GLQuake to Quake 2, the move from Quake 2 to Kingpin results in the same situtation.
In these cases, the benchmarks indicate that Kingpin is more CPU limited than either GLQuake or Quake 2. Thus, the gap in frames per second between the V770 Ultra and V550 narrows.
