Quake 3 Test Benchmarks
This page contains stationary benchmarks for version 1.06 of Quake 3 Test.  As reported by Brain Hook, formerly of id Software, the timedemo feature of the initial Quake 3 Test release was not working properly and yielded inaccurate results.  However, there is a feature to display frames per second while running the game.
While this is not the best way to determine overall Quake 3 test performance, this method does provide a measurement to compare results.  The results are from 16-bit and 32-bit color.  I used the cg_drawfps variable to display the frames per second while remaining stationary at this area, from the q3test1 map, shown in the image below:
Benchmark Settings
- Lighting - lightmap
- Geometric detail - high
- Texture detail - highest setting
- Texture quality - 16-bit
- Texture filter - trilinear
- Sky - high quality
