XFX GeForce 8800 Ultra XXX Edition Review - Page 10 of 10

SCREENSHOTS

I have assembled a large collection of in-game screenshots while using the XFX GeForce 8800 Ultra XXX Edition and selected a number of them to present on this page. Note that the full-size images are normally over 1MB in size and were taken at the ultra-high resolution of 2560x1600.

Simulation / Racing

With each graphics card that is tested, there are some applications and games that make a lasting impression and distinguish themselves from the others. This review has absolutely raised the bar a notch as to the capabilities of modern GPUs as witnessed by NVIDIA's Cascades and Human Head technology demos.

As for games, I spent the most time play..., err, testing, the Colin McRae DiRT demo. I learned that the game was ported to the PC from the Xbox 360, but it looked, played, and sounded great. With the XFX GeForce 8800 Ultra XXX Edition, the average frame rate ranged from 20-30fps on medium settings (4x AA/medium HDR) at 2560x1600 depending on the number of vehicles being rendered in the scene.
