World In Conflict is a recently released Real Time Strategy (RTS) game which has a great built-in benchmark that displays the game's detailed graphics within an intense wartime setting.

The minimum frame rate is obtained during a scene where a spectacular explosion encompasses the entire screen. The XFX 8800 GT XXX performs admirably at such high resolutions, even when Anti Aliasing is applied.
NEED FOR SPEED: PRO STREET DEMO
The Need For Speed series doesn't need much of an introduction. The latest release, Pro Street, brings the series away from its illegal street racing angle of late and closer to its roots of daytime racing with a "professional" background story driving the plot.
Need For Speed: Pro Street
The test results were obtained from the Nevada Highway Speed Challenge. Three complete runs at each setting were used to track the frame rate displayed below.
Need For Speed: Pro Street Settings
The difference between the two runs is that the results displayed with Max Settings have had the detail level of World Shadows, World FX, Car Effects and Car Damage turned up to a higher level.
Need For Speed: Pro Street Results
This is one game where the game settings of the XFX 8800 GT XXX may have to be a notch below max for the player to have a truly fluid gaming experience. In high speed racing games, I tend to favor scaling back the graphical effects to focus on providing a smoother and jitter-free ride as I tended to notice the few instances when the frame rate dropped into the low thirties with the eye candy maxed.
