Hi
Today i have installed 96.43.01 driver .
It works ok in native mode ( FreeBSD ) but in linux mode don't.
In linux mode glxinfo saed that direct rendering is disabled.
Strange is that is working somehow because i have tried to run RTCW-1.4 in linux mode and it worked but with lose of some textures.
Glxinfo from linux saes :
NVIDIA: Direct rendering failed; attempting indirect rendering.
display: :0.0 screen:0
direct rendering: No
server glx vendor string: NVIDIA Corporation
server glx version string: 1.4
server glx extensions:
GLX_EXT_visual_info, GLX_EXT_visual_rating, GLX_SGIX_fbconfig,
GLX_SGIX_pbuffer, GLX_SGI_video_sync, GLX_SGI_swap_control,
GLX_EXT_texture_from_pixmap
client glx vendor string: NVIDIA Corporation
client glx version string: 1.4
Linux gears shows about 850 fps and glxgears about 940 fps.
Videocard is an Geoforce 4Mx 4000 .
In FreeBSD mode glxinfo saes that direct rendering is enabled.
Any idea to correct that ?
I will retry to install driver and xorg.
Xorg is 7.3.
Thanks a lot !
