DIY home terrorism kit?
No, itīs something completly different, although it can be used for it.
DIY SCUD missile pack for ages 10+? ;)

Is it one of those things that they drag behind ships to take topographical radar readings of the ocean's floor?

Not so inofensive... ;)
looks like a missle kit ?
Its a dern chemical weapons missile (you could use it for conventional explosives but that would pack just enough of a punch for taking out a tank), meant to be launched from a plane.
It has solid state propellant (i am sure about that sack over ther) i have seen those on documentaries before. And from the fin configuration so far and the rest of the attatchement on the shell i'd say its an air-to-ground bomb.
No, that is not a chemical bomb.

I was looking at that, thats one nasty looking propellant:lol:
it looks too small to be a nuke (unless it's a low kiloton uranium), and doesn't have nearly enough propellant to be a long range cruise missile...
no clue.

That is a 1.4 megaton H-bomb. That is not a missile, itīs just build in this way, that looks like:

The nuke idea did cross my mind, but i assumed the size of the suitcase(bottom left) to be a lot smaller. From the picture it is hard to tell the size of it though.
By the way is that the activation key(aka arming control) at the bottom or is it something else???
Oh shug so the stuff that looks like a solid state propellant is actually explosive foam... great.

bombs are measured in blast force. 1.4 megatons is actually considered a fairly powerful nuclear bomb.
that thing looks far too small to hold enough tritium for a 1.4 megaton explosion...
A ton is measured in explosive force.
1 ton = 1 stick of dynamite.

Uhm.
One ton = one ton of TNT.
One megaton = one million tons of TNT.

Nah, all this is public domain. Thatīs a vast public information on nuclear bombs, but none really helps much building one.

Yes, Mr Parrot :)

if every stick of dynamite weighed 16 oz without the fuse or wrapper, then that nuke would have the explosive force of 2,800,000,000 sticks of dynamite.
[edit]
the above calculation was done in English measurements. standard measurements would mean that the # would be around 3,087,000,000
1 ton = 1 ton of dynamite.

You sure? A friend told me befor it was 1 stick of dynamite.
I think you guys confused me.

Iraq's space program.
its probably something simple like a model rocket with a camera
Looks like a Italian v1brator, some assembly required. :p
