It's clear that 8800GT will appear in the market in monday, 29th Oct. But maybe you are all thinking about the second G92 product: 8800GTS.

According to the sources, the new 65nm 8800GTS will announce in Monday,19th Nov, a week later than 780i(12nd Nov). The price is CNY2299(~305 USD) .

It's known 8800GTS will have 128 SP. But still no evdience about the core clock, memory clock and shader clock. The score we have earlier already prove that 8800GT can beat 8800GTS. And we believe the 65nm 8800GT will better than 8800GTX.

So please be awared of 29th Oct,and 29th Nov. And please remember the RV670 will be coming 15th Nov.

The new GTs score more in 3Dmark2k6 but a link showing benches on a chinese website shows the GTXs and Ultras still ruling the roost at higher IQ settings and resolutions....except one game ...SCCT i think

It is faster from the GTS but not really faster from the GTX in most cases

Nope...Ultra is still the King

And we believe the 65nm 8800GT will better than 8800GTX.

Bullsh*t...

If it was really faster from GTX then why name it GT ??

This will be mildly confusing..
There should be something in the naming to differentiate the old GTS from the new GTS.
Looks like the GT is faster then the old GTS, so the new GTS should be faster still..

WTF is going on? Last time I checked the 8800GT was a card between the 8600GTS and 8800GTS...

Now we're talking about the 8800GT being faster than the GTX in *some* cases, but still its *some* cases which I find pretty annoying considering it's a $300 card and the GTX is still ~$500.

Also the 8800GTS will have 128 shaders? Then what's the difference between it and a GTX other then clock speed and memory? I was pretty much ignoring the 8800GT up until now, seeing it as a nice low cost alternative for some people. It seems like everythings been turned upside down

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking as well. Regardless, if those numbers for the GT are accurate, I'll probably grab two of them, and then later two of the new GTSs for another rig of mine. I'd have three, very decent, gaming rigs then. You wont hear me complaining. :p

According to Fudzilla (http://www.fudzilla.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=3632&Itemid=1), Tri-SLI only works with the GTX and Ultra. Pretty much a guarantee since no other cards have 2 sli connections.

This really sucks for most 680i owners who have the 3 x16 slots but not enough room or money for 3 dual slot cards :(. 3 x 8800GT seemed like a great deal, but I guess Nvidia thought it was too great...

Anyone know if the G92 8800GTS will be a single-slot design, too? And why is the G92 8800GT doing better than the G92 8800GTS in those benchmarks?

8800GTS is still the old one, not the G92

8800GT is priced $249 which is very low for the actual performance ;)

As it seems, the G80 Series will live on but is replaced by the scaleable G92-core.

I believe they tested the G92 8800GT vs the 'old' 8800GTS, not the G92 GTS

This is a bit confusing, I also did'nt make much of the first post, I think whoever wrote it got a bit confused.

I have a feeling these charts are bull****. It doesn't make any sense in terms of marketing to make your $250 card run faster than your $350 card. Furthermore, if there really is that big of a performance increase between their current GTS and the new G92 GTS (despite it having 128MB less VRAM), why give it the exact same name?

Also the fact that the site reporting this data is in a language none of us can read makes me suspicious. Who knows where this data is from?

Remember when the R600 was supposed to kick the 8800 GTX's ass 10 months ago, and everyone and their grandmother was reporting this to be true with all facts pointing to one bogus site as the source? I do.

EDIT: What about the 8800 GTS 320MB card? How many 8800 GTS cards does NV really need?

I'll bet as soon as you use 4XFSAA and 16Xanistrophic @ 1680 by 1050 those numbers will show the real king...

I think the 8800 GTS 320 mb version is being phased out. Maybe this will mean some price drops across the board?

This is confusing, they need to work on their naming schemes here...

yea...if these prices are right... I'd prolly use evgas upgrade program to trade in my gtx and buy two GTS's. ^^

doesn't really look like too big an upgrade for GTS users, even at the 320 level (unless you're using 1900x1050 and above..). For the price that's pretty amazing - I'd basically be able to step up my GTS320 to one for like the price of shipping hehe. Still not sure if it's worth the wait/trouble yet.. we'll see how benchmarks fare on other sites..

Core and Memory clock on the G92 GTS are still unkown..
