Hi

Is it normal that Vista x64 would take out 1,2 GB in idle mode, is it allocating them for later use ?

I have also heard that running 32 bit OS only uses 3,2 GB is it true, if so is there and simple explaination ?

Yes, Vista 32-bit only recognised 3.3GB of my ram.

And yes it is normal Vista x64 to use 1.2GB of ram idle, it does for me... however apparently when applications need the ram they are allocated it. So Vista isnt 'really' using 1.2GB, I'd estimate it probably uses 700mb.
