I'm working on a project to create a remote keypad interface for a software development platform. They currently use Webpage / TCL CGI to remotely program the configuration switches on the SDP and want to extend that so they can use the keypad remotely too. So for good or bad they want to create a webpage keypad interface to control the SDP remotely. What I currently have is a webpage with a keypad on it and I'd like some way to interface JavaScript with the TCL library running on the SDP (or server). Does anyone know a way to use the HTML / JavaScript Events MouseDown and MouseUp to call procedures in the TCL library running on the SDP.

Of course another way to do it would be of interest too :)

Thanks for any help.

I don't do web scripting, but this would be trivial to make in something like Java, then throw it out on the web for the clients to use (applet or WebStart).

I've been thinking that too. As long as the Java Applet will work with TCL because the library that talks to the hardware is done in TCL and I don't have any control over it.
