View Full Version : More G92 Scores
The resolution chosen is would be somewhat CPU limited than GPU. Therefore, when the final release of UT3 is herewith AA and AF enabled at higher resolutions, then, we will know the 8800 GT power. I think NV deliberately handicapped the G92 with 256 bit memory interface.....to keep costs and performance down as they do not need a 8800 Ultra beater yet. When the new AMD GPU is out, who would bet against a 128+ SP g92 with wider memory interface tosurface?

The performance of 8800GT is balanced between the GTS and GTX
Nothing special to write about...
It is a better card from the GTS but GTX and Ultra still are the best
Lets see now what the Radeon 3000 series is all about...
well i play 1680x1050 8xMSAA 16xAF using my GTX which runs at 650/1620/2050, but i doubt the GT will keep up due to its limited memory bandwidth.

Well...there is something to write home about..its cheaper.
lol those scores r soo fake.... G92 is a bit slower than GTS, in most benches... only in shader intensive apps its a bit better due to the 112SP @ 1500MHz
it has (from what i heard) 16ROP 20TMU(not sure about TMU) 112Shaders @ 1500MHz, core @ 600MHz, RAM @ 1800Mhz and with that 256bit really cripples the performance

in everest GTS shows as 20 ROP and 1 TMU per ROP (which is not the case, it has 24 TMU)
so 20TMU is a pretty good guess ... heh
pass89,
Could you link to those benches? I'm dying to look at any new 8800GT info :D.

no i dont see. u need to proof read ur posts, lmao.

im pretty sure u seen this in inq or somewhere else already ...

in shader intense apps its pretty close to GTX, again due to the 112SP @ 1500MHz, but the 256bit interface(along with 16ROP and maybe 20TMU) really cripples it in pretty much every game
oh yeah that ss is from everest' site ... anyway
heres one for GTS

again all these r rumors ....

ATI OEM orders clean sweep? where they hell do they get this bull**** from.
AMDs RV670 landed a huge OEM win with an OEM with 4 letters. It was competing directly against G92. ;)

No that 3 letters, T-Spoon said 4 letters. I think it probably ACER.

Are you sure?! I'm sure Dell is 4! :o
MSI 8800 GT
http://forum.donanimhaber.com/m_18540021/tm.htm
600MHz core
1800MHz mem
1500Mhz 112Shaders
256bit interface

pretty much same as early rumors
that everest 8800GT shot was quite accurate ... 16 ROP, maybe 20 or 24 TMU
heard it will be ~ $250 MSRP ... but expect newegg jack it up to 300 lol ...
Haha oh man, between that MSI card and the one Foxconn posted briefly... I hope EVGA sticks to a simple black design on their 8800GT!

Opp my mistake! :o
Well it could be either Dell or ACER.

That MSI card is so gay, something you'd buy for your little sister or g/f if they'd actually need all that power. :D
god i cant wait, im just stuck i dont know if i want 2 of these or hold out till next year... g what to do :(

You made me bust out laughing. D + E + L + L = 3. Anyways, nice one. ;)
I like Company of Heroes as much as the next guy, but I dunno about this...lol. Well at least we can count on EVGA to not have a silly image on their cards.

No, "Dell" is a four-letter word, but it has 3 unique letters.
Simply semantics.

Wow, I wonder what the Jewish community would think about juniors' video card having a Nazi on it? ;)
"it's OK mom, we get to shoot them..."

You have a 8800GTX, why not hold out for next year?

hey, look at the 640GTS and the 320GTS...... u r telling me there is just a 1.0 differnces in FPS... i dont thank soActually, at that low of a resolution, with no anti-aliasing? I think a small FPS difference is correct, I mean the 640GTS and 320GTS are basically the same card (aside from the obvious memory difference).Except that these benches show a core speed on the GTS 640 of 600MHz, vs. 500MHz for the 320.
Riiiiight. And only ~1 FPS difference? I don't think so.

And explain to me how the 8800GT is so much faster than the GTS 640 when their supposed clockspeeds are the same (as shown in the posted "benchmark results") except for the shader clock--and the 640 has a wider memory bus?
