View Full Version : G92 power consumption? (in a shuttle G5 xpc)

it has only one 6pin power connector so is it much cooler than 8800GTS?
I hope shuttle's new G5 xpcs can support a G92 with a 250w power supply so I don't have to go with a P2 xpc which is hard to find at the moment and more expensive.
If not I hear people are starting to use those externa GPU PSUs they got now.
That might help.
Hard to say with shuttle PSUs, they tend to be more efficient where they need it the most compared to the usual PSUs, but 250W doesnt sound like much.

if I read this article right, 250w should be ok for a 45nm core 2 duo and a 65nm 8800gt!!!

reports are 110-130w consumption

the card is rated @ 110w
