Is it true that if you buy 1000mhz+ RAM it will be lowered down to 800mhz if the mother board only supports 533/667/800? I was told this and it does not make sence because i,ve never seen a motherboard that supports more than 533/667/800 RAM, so meaning that 1000mhz+ ram would be pointless? Thanks.

umm... depends on the mainboard... if the bios allows options for overclocking or supports the correct ratios it should allow you to bring it up to 1066... I had mines running at 1200 5-5-5-15 :D

They´re really going in for subtle spamming these days.. Instead of the hit and run posts promising viagra and whatnot, they do these ninja posts with a noobish question that seems legit, and a sig link noone ever clicks..
I mean.. does NVnews seem like the right target audience for friggin breast pumps?
