I can say with confidence that this decision was made in the best interest of the game as well as your enjoyment of it. EA and Crytek are announcing today that the single player demo for Crysis is moving to October 26, 2007. The demo will also be released with Crytek’s CryEngine 2 – Sandbox 2 game editor, giving the community a great amount of hands on time with the powerful mod tools coming with Crysis before the November 16th release date.

Wow, what a crazy day of waiting so far. It's been 8 hrs and nothing today for us pre-releasers. This means, if we (pre-releasers) get the demo in the morning, then the demo for everyone else won't come until 24 hrs after that..

unless, by some act of god it comes out tonight, which doesn't look so good.

Hi all,

I know the forums and IRC channel are going crazy with people asking where the demo is - AND that they were promised it 24hrs before the public release for pre-ordering.

There will be an official email very soon, please be patient. In the mean time what I can say is:

- Those that pre-ordered it through EA WILL GET the Demo 24 hours before the public release.

- The demo HAS NOT been delayed for weeks like some of claiming

- The Crysisdemo.com site is NOT OFFICIAL. The countdown on this site was incorrect.

- A clarification on time/dates etc will be made VERY soon.

the invoice for my ea store purchase of crysis, now says 'downloadable' next to the demo. this wasn't there before. now all that has to happen is they need to put up the little download button next to it, and we're off !! here's hoping..
