Yes. Sure, it did trail behind the 9800XT a bit... but not so much so that those early DX9 games were vertually unplayable. FarCry had the worst performance- with all in-game options maxed, 2xAA, 8xAF, vsync+tb I was limited to playing at 800x600. But, it literally stayed pegged at 30fps. Very playable for that game IMO. Never did it jump above 30, never below. Literally was continually pegged at 30 the entire game. So I was happy.

With HL2 the only resolution it chugged on was 1600x1200, if I recall correctly. CoD was a breeze. :D

Just pre ordered Crysis from the EA store.

Stoked to get the demo 24hrs earlier !!!! :) The day after tomorrow, right on !

Seriously, I haven't been this excited about a video game since the original Nintendo.. lol

im not exactly sure, but,i think you just log in at the ea website with the user name and password you used to purchase from the ea store.

there's an ea downloader thingy which is available, im assuming it will all become clear in a couple days ! :)

Bleh. It preorder for digital dl only, no retail preorder. Heck if I wanna download 18gigs of data. Just a guess since StrangleHold was 12gigs.

If they're letting people that pre-order get the demo a day early, I wonder how long it will take for it to hit the torrent sites.

good point, I wouldn't be surprised if the demo "leaks" a few hrs before the official 10/26 release, that is if Crytek can actually get it out on 10/25 to those who preordered the game from EA.

Early demo is most likely linked to the digital download. If it gets leaked they'll know which buyer leaked it and sue or something.

Yep, the demo is probably going to be like how the beta is, you download it and then it unlocks it. I hope not though.

crysis was one of the games to make me upgrade

already pre-ordered off amazon uk

i am looking forward to it so much

just hoping vistas performance is on par to XPs on release as i want the extra DX10 goodness

thats about 59, or 60 us, or canadian dollars.

i mean it's crysis people, you're getting the demo a day early and the retail
edition early as well.. who cares if its ea.. crytek are the real genuis' behind things n e way.

if any of you get it early, pls just set 4xaa 16af and everything else in game to MAX, even if you only get 5 fps, dying to see what it actually looks like.

Don't expect things to change over night just 'cause your money has gone up in value. Might take a while before your prices shift to match the currency. And although I doubt it to be the case judging by the way the US Dollar has been looking in general over the past few years, there's a small chance this rise in value may not last.

Granted, I'm far from an expert in economics, so I'm likely just blowing smoke out of my ass.
