I ordered mine from EA the other day. we get the demo 24 hrs early. Probably not a big deal to some, but I won't be waiting in line with everybody when it goes live on Friday. Well we will see.:rolleyes: Going to try to beat the masses. Now go get yourself some cheap sunglasses. Ohh Yeah:afro:

So much is riding on this demo. This is the Halo of PC world and it better not suck or be missing features.

Agreed. I can't imagine what will happen if it sucks:headexplode: At least we'll have pretty graphics!

If they're letting people that pre-order get the demo a day early, I wonder how long it will take for it to hit the torrent sites.

$60 CDN but $50 US... this really sux... how high does the CDN$ have to go to at least match up with US prices?

Thats "high (DX9)" , but what about "very high" (i.e. DX10) ?

EDIT : also i dont see where did he state it was running @1920x1200 ?

He claims it was running on a 24" LCD. :)

Now,one does not have to have a degree in engineering to know what the defualt res on that size screen is

If it was a 24" LCD TV it could be a really low res. A lot of the comments seem to think it isn't a 24" screen but rather a larger sized tv.

has to be alot bigger than 24", look at the logitech speakers either side of the screen. I have those same speakers and they are at least 6" tall.

That's not a 24", that's at least a 40" HDTV... hopefully a 1080p ;)

On 24" LCD and only ONE 8800 GTX going demo perfectly on High details (in DX9) ... it is great!


I'm still worried about DX10 performance. Very disturbing with what we've seen so far(CoH, Lost Planet)...

I don't have a widescreen monitor but does the beta support widescreen properly (wider fov etc?) or is it just 4:3 chopped?

I believe it supports widescreen quite well. "High definition gaming" seems to be one of EA's selling points for this game so I'd imagine so.

yes it does... i think almost all games do nowadays except unreal engine 3 based ones

Well, the timer at crysisdemo is at 1 day 4 hours 57 minutes now. So theoretically, it should be available in less than 5 hours for those who preordered. But i've also heard the time of 9am Central. So who knows.

Crossing my fingers that the early release hits the torrents uber quick!!! If not, I have no school and no work on Friday :D Technically I'm supposed to be learning some linux but screw that!!! This is Crysis :captnkill:
