Why the heck would anyone buy an FX over a radeon?

I see no solid ground to buy an FX card over a radeon 9700/9800 pro. If anyone (especially FX users) can shed some light on this that'd be great....im dying to know :P.

1. FX costs alot more than a radeon
2. FX performance doesnt even compare to a radeon (AA and aniso
3. Radeons are silent...the rest you can figure out :P
4. FX cards run EXTREMELY hot and some people have to underclock just so it runs without crashing.
5. Image quality is SUPERIOR on a radeon compared to any geforce card.

I posted it because I would really like to know. I check out the nvidia forum and it seems alot of people are having problems with the card as well so I decided to ask.

9800 Pro is $400. GFFX is $400. There's still a chance that performance will substantially increase with driver revisions... so there goes the substantially greater price

See above in regards to driver versions. Plus hey, maybe you don't WANT AA or AF. Of course, you'd be insane, but oh well. Look at KILER.

Radeons are silent if you're deaf. Or you have 6 Tornado fans in your computer. The fact of the matter is that they HAVE FANS (OCSYstems Level 3 excluded), and therefore MAKE NOISE. The stock one isn't as loud as the stock on the FX, but the Gainward one is quite a bit quieter.

Hot? Yes. Have to be underclocked? No. BS.
5. Image quality is SUPERIOR on a radeon compared to any geforce card.
IQ is subjective, sonny. Yes, it's COMPLETELY subjective. Just like audio quality and anything else that can't be accurately "benchmarked."

Yup, it's true. FanATIcs never, ever, EVER get laid. It's a video card thing, radeons just won't do it for 'em.

Ever since I got rid of my 8500 I've noticed a DRAMATIC increase in my sex life, so it simply MUST be true! :D
