HardOCP has been down since noon CST as our host is moving to a new location...
Hopefully, we can get everything up and running again ( albeit with some new gear as well ) before the end of the night...
We're at the mercy of lady luck here...though I don't expect us to have any major issues ( crosses fingers )...

I HATE switching servers! Something always seems to nail me.
Best of luck, I'll send some happy thoughts to the digital deities on y'all's behalf. :)

Hey, your Sean Peltier?
Yup...I'm Sean Pelletier...the same person who writes review for [H]ard|OCP...though some of the nV News "veterans" might remember some of my work from a more familiar place...
:thinker:
Regardless, it looks as though this move will be a nice step upwards for us in terms of speed and reliability once it finally gets going...
[eNv]...I'll be seeing those messages just as soon as the mail-server comes back online... :D

Well...sometime between 3am EST and now, the website came back online...though the mail-server is still DOA...
Be sure to drop Kyle a line and let him know if the speed of the website has increased for you...
Email Kyle (kyle@hardocp.com)

I just got off the phone with Kyle...the issue is being worked on as we speak...
With Cliff and Kyle working on it...I'd imagine we should be 100% live by the end of the day...

I won't really be playing it on that computer spec that i showed. I plan to build my own computer in a month or two.

Something's funky with your server--I ping 40ms to it, but there is a good bit of time between the [H] server is contacted and when it replies.
Might just be increased hits from the downtime, but it seems like something's wonky.

Give it about a day for things to settle down...should be looking great once everything settles down...
Keep me posted...

Out of curiousity, is it an IIS server or an Apache server?
Ah, answered my own question by going to http://www.hardocp.com/blahblahblah :P

You fixed both the forums and the latency at the same time. :D

Pelly, is it exploded, or is my DNS server really that bad?

Things were VERY slow....but we should have some redundancy built in by next week...RIght now, the speed looks to be much better....
