Hi Guys, I have a notebook with a pentium M 1.86ghz and a pc with a p4 3ghz. When I install company of heroes opposing fronts, the system checker says CPU = GREAT on my notebook, yet on my pc it says CPU = OKAY.
Any ideas why this might be?
Cheers for your help

Do a CPU benchmark with Sandra. It'll tell you the exact speed of ya CPU for data crunching and/or media stuff.

BTW, your name made me LOL :D But i'm very childish!

Clockspeed has very little bearing on actual performance, those two processors have different cores. The Pentium M @ 1.86Ghz can be faster than a P4 (I assume Prescott) 3Ghz depending on the application. The Pentium M uses less power as well and has a lower TDP which means it has to dissipate less heat and uses less power.

The Pentium M's, in my opinion, are actually one of Intel's better processors. The P4 Prescott line was horrific.

More supporting evidence to what I'm saying. It's a shame clock speed is marketed as a performance indicator when it clearly has little bearing on performance.
