Hey would anyone know the difference between these to processors? Other than the price tag and their intended use I see none. Thanks!

no difference really... they overclock about the same... well there is a difference... there is no core 2 duo quad ;)

Actually, there is a difference. The Xeon G0 has an 86C max temp rating while the Core 2 has a 71C max temp rating. So if you're into overclocking and want a nice temp buffer, then these are good to have.

The Xeons are slightly higher binned and made for servers which generally run hotter than desktops. Real world performance difference is minimal unless you push the CPU beyond 1.55v.

The XEON QUAD seem to be a little better at overclocking at least they have a higher temperture rateing,but it still comes down to the luck of the draw ,some overclock like mad and others no so mad.
