When I run settings, or executable file it says my system doesn't have minimum requirements. It's ****ing Vista i bet...

Vista x64 Edition...latest forceware drivers...specs below...

Anybody have the same problem?

Its the game's fault it seems

It's Konami's fault. PES 2008 doesn't support vista.

Apparently it runs ok on 32 bit vista but struggles in any x64 os. Will see on Friday when I get my copy. PES 6 runs fine for me hopeful there will be no issues with the new one.

Which is still totally ridiculous for a game coming out near the end of 2007 not supporting an os that was released in February. But this is konami.

I am still holding thumbs that I can get it to work on Friday.

The only thing EA did better is actually support vista.

yes of course its vista fault, that some company decided to screw their customers and not support the OS.

Maybe it's a sign. The game developers don't think enough of Vista to bother... hrmm

Actually it works on both 32 and 64bit Vista. It doesn't work on the system with 4GB of RAM or more under x64 Vista and XP. So more RAM more trouble

IT works on vista 32 for me, but I does not support 1680*1050, crap console port. And the settings are stored in a .dat file so no plain text to edit the resolution......

That will be fix by the modders soon enough. They will release a kitserver which always fixed those kinds of things. They had one for the demo which allowed you to play 1680 x 1050 but there's isn't one for the full release yet.

For now download this and copy into the folder which resolution you want remember to rename to settings.

It doesn't work hundred percent still problems with the aspect ratio but it will do till the kitserver is released.

sure a sign, what would you call crysis, company of heroes, call of juarez, world in conflict, bioshock etc....

its more of a sign that konami doesn't know how to make a proper game

I'm so disapointed in UT3 engine. Why the hell there is no AA?

I think Crytek2 will set a new standard. I hope developers choose crytek2 engine over UT3 engine.

You should be able to use CFFexplorer.exe to edit it to work with systems with 4+GB of ram like we had to do with Stalker and some others. Do a search.

I would call them (with the exception of Crysis maybe, we'll see) "still faster in XP" and "DX10 added as an after thought" games. I agree that maybe Konami sucks. But so far there isn't a game I run in Vista over XP yet!!

That is the same exact problem I have with Vampire Bloodlines, Silent Storm, and a few others. Going back to the 158 series nVidia drivers fix this.

I am having the same problem as OP, Vista x86 here so not related to 64bit OS at all. This sucks, I was looking forward to this game so much, oh well I'll just have to wait for a fix.

PES2008 is one of the Best soccer games for PC and not only (many say better from Fifa2008)

so your word that Konami does not know how to make a proper game is not valid

Me too :D

and especially after the Vista Activation fiasco (see NVNews main page)

I have the same problem, im using vista32 ultimate. So no difference between x86 & x64. Hopefully they patch up the game, if not, then Konami is a bunch of morons!

The gameplay is still great and much better than fifa but had they sorted out these other issues. Like not offering wide screen resolution support and the 4 gig ram bug the game would have been much better.

simple answer Konami f-ed up the game. Even installer supports Vista because it ask you do you want to add the game to game explorer.

I'm still trying to get the demo to work.

Anyone on 32bit version of windows, please upload your config file.

if possible with 1680x1050 resolution and max settings.
