Decent enough pc?

Im a lan sort of man and my bros and some of sisters like playing games.

So I hooked up a

Pentium 4 478 2.66
2gb DDR 2700
128mb 5900XT
120gb HD
15" tft

the next pc is

P4 775 3.4 @ 4.7gzh
2gb DDR2 800mhz
X300 (gonna be replaced)
250gb sata.
projector at 1024x768


Still need one pc though . I saw someone selling a pc today. Its second hand and is a dell :o

He wants 470 euros for it. ($600). Its pretty crap I know but its "ready" so to speak and he lives near me.

He claims it gets over 6000+ in 3dmark06.

any good? please bear in mind stuff istn quite as cheap. I just thought for a cheap light gaming pc....

Thats a pretty good computer for that price.

A 7950GT is what I'd call top of the mid range cards. Plenty fast enough to play any game out now at decent settings.

So it will play CS-S, DOD-S along with nfs most wanted at medium level? Probably wont use the 24" monitor though.

Think it will handle 1024x768 ok though at medium.

He just wants $600 for all that ,you better scoop it up ,I don't know what motherboard it has ,or if it has good overclocking features,but if it does then that Core™ 2 Duo E6550 should overclock to 3.2gigs or better with proper cooling,and you got a gameing rig,ocoarse you will want to upgrade the 7950GT 256mb to a 8800GT latter on,or a 8800GTS 320mb if you just game at 1024x768 ,but with the 7950GT ,it should play most games with no problems ,just might have to turn down the setting on some of the newer games comeing out.plus if you need it you have 2gigs of DDR2 800mhz with that other computer.Thats a damm good deal for $600 ,I wish I came across deals like that Enjoy!!
