Bah I posted this in Gaming forum without looking here first, anyway the Crysis Beta release is probably the cause of this release today, so hopefully if the demo has DX10 this improves performance :)

they had this scheduled before
New Release Schedule
Starting after the August 2007 release of the DirectX SDK, Microsoft will deliver future updates four times per year. The next five releases now planned for delivery are:
August 2007
November 2007 (instead of October and December)
March 2008 (instead of February and April)
June 2008
August 2008
next one in March

Ah ok, didnt know about that, just the timing made me think that :)
Who knows though, Crysis may run better with this than on August update, would be interesting to do a benchmark.

Well, they all work together, so new DirectX update, new Forceware driver, demo of Crysis....
