That's strange. The only time I really notice mouse lag is if the FPS drop below 30.
I've seen this show up in Oblivion, though. Even up around 50fps.
Yea, after playing the DX10 vs. DX9 executables, I think the DX10 path looks much better overall, the lighting especially.
Yea right? I especially noticed in the beginning where I'm running with my nanosuit teammate in the night that the nightsetting as a whole just looked more realistic, whereas in the DX9 it looked more bland, more like a game, I can't quite put my finger on it.. Definently the lightning, perhaps dynamics with the moonlight, dunno..

Ok while playing around with the graphic settings I found something very intresting. First off Im playing with t2600 core duo, 2gb ram and the 7950 gtx. 1440x900 AA=off AF=4x and all settings medium.
So what I found is if u start crysis and load into to a game with all settings above but the texture quality set to HIGH then u get the fps below.
http://img223.imageshack.us/img223/8150/crysishightexturesgj4.jpg
Now if u set the texture quality to medium and restart crysis and load into a game then u get the following fps:
http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/5132/crysismediumtextureslw7.jpg
If u then go into options and change the setting to HIGH u pretty much get no fps drop!

I should also mention that I found that u can load between different saves just can't exit to the main menu or you will get a huge FPS drop when starting a new game. Same happens with alt-tabbing into windows and back.
Hey man fix your link ! :)
And above all show them here in the forum :D
FIXED !!! AHAHAHA!!!
very fast!
You have reason, very strange what happen

I can even feel it when I look out other the water in on the beach in the night at the very beginning where I have 40-45 FPS (settings: DX10, all very high but shaders high and PP medium): mouselag. Grrrr....

Yea everything just seems more static in DX9, its hard to describe really.

That is spooky!
Seriously that is actually disturbing

How do you experience the mouselag? If you're not sure try switching between DX9 and DX10 a couple of times and see that's it's not just a framerate thing. I wasn't completely convinced until I did that myself though I was unconsiously annoyed by playing the DX10 path before I was consious about it.. Must've thought it was bad FPS at that time.
Wow, with these latest beta drivers my 3DMark 06 score jumped up 630 points :D
r_MotionBlur=0 (ie, turning motion blur off) boosted avg fps from 17 to 24. ^^ however a few frames would blank out and on the 3rd pass the gpu test crashed the video driver..gonna reboot and try again to see if its the game setting or just to many crysis runs. ^^

Looks to me like there's something wrong with that menu! Seems like it's not saving settings properly or something...
I had some issues trying to change my res. It wouldn't let me apply the changes for some reason. Got it working in the end if I changed some advanced settings at the same time though. :)

You must've missed the spooky park, which is that he actually took screenshots having FRAPS printed FPS in them to show that it was not merely a config error, a faulty menu that haven't applied the changes; the textures literally looked just as good in the first and last pic, the in the last the framerate was much higher. There must be an explaination...

Yea I saw the same thing :D
A cool detailed I just heard someone mention is the fact that on Delta difficulty, apart from not having crosshair and grenade tracers, your enemies actually speaks korean, not english with korean accent :D

In my opinion the DX10 with medium shaders (plus custom config) is great for MP. You get all the DX10 MP enhancements combined with a very smooth framerate.
But for SP I prefer the DX9 High with the custom config for nearly DX10 visual quality. Performance isn't that good compared to the other method but it looks much better.

The last step; changing the settings to high - I don't see a difference. :(
Guess I need glasses!
oh, wait! Side by side, yes I do :)
Ignore me, I should go back to sleep >.<

Object Quality was on Very High for all of them, since that can't be changed in-the game.
Everything else was changed Low-Medium-High-VeryHigh
ugh... now the gpu test is crashing the video driver no matter what changes I make, or if i make none. stupid program. won't know if its just the gpu test or if the game is now fuxbrd now too.
So why don't the clouds move? They move when you pan the mouse around though :crosseye:

Anyways how can you spend two hours on changing drivers? :p
nvidia decided to delete 1280x960 from the nvdisp.inf so I couldn't use that resolution. It took me that long to track down the problem.
Anyways, I just played the demo in DirectX9 mode all the way through (DX9 64bit works, dx10 64bit doesnt). Its very playable at 1600x1200 with everything set to high and no AA. I'll try DX10 32bit in a few minutes.
The graphics are mind blowing, as expected.
One thing that totally surprised me was the gameplay! Its a lot of fun and the cinematic qualities of the game are out of this world. That final scene at the end of the demo had me saying "holy f***! holy f***! holy f***!" because it looked so real and was so awesome. It was a complete slideshow in that scene for some reason (10fps maybe) but it looked so cool it didn't matter.
Definitely not canceling my preorder on this one.
Good gameplay, amazing cinematics, great voice acting, amazing graphics...
Someone inform the president, Crysis actually delivered on its promises.
I honestly dont like motion blur, to me its personally annoying and a performance hog, I wish they had a setting to turn it off in the advanced menu, only game I like motion blur in is half life 2 episode 2, its not annoying at all,

Just tried setting all settings to low and restarting crysis. Load back in and start a game and pull 9 fps in same spot as my pictures. Set object quality to medium and everything left low...restarted whole game and got 22fps. While getting 22fps in the game I went into options and set everything back to medium and got 9fps.
So it looks like the best option for me at least is set everything to medium, restart. Load into crysis and start a game and change from medium to high textures which doesn't effect the fps lol.

+1
Motion blur should only happen when you whip the mouse pretty fast. Not just casual slow panning :thumbdwn:
