This game kicks ass and looks amazing! Crytek has got it down perfectly! You would have to be a complete moron to not want the full version release of this sweet ass game! :D

QFT, I think Crysis has now become my 2nd most favorite game ever. Doom is still #1 but Unreal now takes 3rd place after Crysis. :super:

How do you get the sandbox editor going? Where do I find it?

i downloaded it twice and both files have corrupted installation files.. wtf is that? downloaded from EA and nvidia.. anyway know whats the problem?

goto ..\Crysis SP Demo\Sandbox2 Installer folder. Install it.
Then run editor.exe from your bin32 folder.

The funny thing is that at Medium the game looks more colorful

Wow. 11 threads on Crysis on the front page alone... I think people are going a little overboard.

Performance was terrible for me, High settings, 1280x1024 with no AA and I was seeing about 12fps at best pretty much all the time.

2900xt, 2gb ram, X2 4600+ @ 2.88ghz (the weakest link). But still, 12fps is a shocker. I also noticed that during the entire scene where you discover your teammate hanging from the tree, my teammates' body was all see-through and patchy with triangles. Everything else was fine though... Perhaps these new drivers are causing problems.

SLI is not working properly:

"NVIDIA acknowledged that SLI scaling on Crysis was some crippled for the time being. A new driver is going to be released that will help with it, but they are saying that Crytek has a couple of fixes of their own that need to be made for proper multi-GPU performance so again, we might want to wait for the final retail version of the software to really get into the multi-GPU capabilities of the engine."

I'd say definitely, no. Where did you get this notion?

This game is VERY GPU limited.

More pics. I used the tweaked ini file for these. I didn't notice any drop in FPS and as a few other guys have said, the game is much more playable at low FPS than most other games. Like, in this game, 30 fps is butter smooth where as in Oblivion it's :headexplode:

I love the different suit modes as I've handled the same scenarios totally different ways and been challgened in totally different ways.

I think underwater is still what I'm most impressed with but I can't not grin when I realize that I can go to a far edge of the map in the boat to one of those little deserted islands and look back on the main island and still be rocking 30 fps with everything set to high w/very high ini tweaks.

It'll buff out. One thing I was kinda dissapointed about was when I blew up the gas tank of the hummer underwater, I was expecting a huge blast of water to shoot up.. but no.

Guys, at what part of the demo were you suppose to drive a boat? :confused:

I saw some pics of driving a boat and I finished the demo without doing that.

oh actually i was using silencer the whole way through. Is it much more powerful without?

yes, in real life the projectile is hindered by the silencer so the bullet would not be able to penetrate as well because of its lower velocity. Its a tradeoff, stealth for knockdown power.

you can also use the editor to drop some incendiary ammo for ya, that will take people out quick :lol:

Sure, have you installed the editor? If not is should be in the EA\Crysis directory under "Editor".... install it, then go to Bin32(or Bin64) whichever one you are using and launch it from there.

Go to file, load, load the single player lvl... it has to render, will give you some flags and error messages for certain things that couldn't be loaded but that is fine... what you want to do is go and save the file as a backup somewhere else... err.. or the whole directory.

After you do that you can use the panel on the right to drop stuff down. Its pretty simple, choose it from "entities" in the list and find what you want.

Save, then click on "Export to Engine" and you can play it in the demo or you can just hit "CTRL-G" and drop into the game from the editor :)

EDIT: I dropped a couple of chinese helicopters and man that was freaking cool :D
