The chopper is hard to control, its like the BF2 choppers only the controls seem reversed as turning is with the mouse instead of keys. The menu item is not there but I assume that can be changed. Just easier to learn one way of controlling choppers

True, true. Hey, how are your frames, medic? I can get about 20ish with all high @ 1280x1024. Turn post-processing to medium gets me into the high 20s, maybe 30s if I'm lucky.

Does that sound about what you are getting?

~Ibrahim~Running at 1280x800, I have everything set to high, and the "partial DX9" autoexec.cfg (http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=101345) in use, and I'm averaging around 30 fps (I haven't benched gameplay w/FRAPS, but use FRAPS in-game, and this is where it seems to stay).

Mind you, this is in XP.

In other words like the anansi/tormentor in ETQW?

It's a mod, it's free and it's their decision, isn't it? I'm sick of WW2 shooters as well but many people like it so I just wanted to share the info. :) I'm definitely looking forward to the MechWarrior mod/TC. :D

Not enough Vietnam games! :D

Thick jungle, booby traps, tunnel mazes, suicide bombers in black PJ's....ah I love the smell of napalm in the morning.

Now Crysis Vietnam would be awesome.

Ok, I must be stupid but I have not yet understood how to enable DX9 or DX10 in Vista. I know I can choose what mode to run in for the 32-bit mode since there are options in the "Game Explorer" right click menu, but how do I do this for the 64-bit version?

Please enlighten me!

Right click on the crysis shorcut and then add -dx9 to the end of the shortcuts executible.

You can also fire up DX 9 or 10 by selecting the Crysis icon in your games folder. Right click and select the one you want from the drop down menu.

Crysis crashes with 4Gb of Ram, and 8800GTX SLI. When going to the 193.75, the problem is gone, but fps is horrible, in the teens. Anyone have a solution to this with the .04 drivers?

Lets hope the full retail runs like butter and hope we get new drivers next week.

The framerates are good, although in DX10 it is laggy as hell, like when your walking all of the sudden it slows down, but the fps doesn't slow down, it happens literally every second. It's like somebody slows down the whole game for a second, then it's normal again etc etc. DX9 works fine, although the fps still fluctuates way too much with random slowdowns. It's not the mouselag that you get in DX10 when fps is too low, this is the whole world lol.

It is entirely original, and straight from the editor captured with FRAPS. Forgive the 15-20FPS as I lose about 7-12FPS by capturing with FRAPS. And this is at around 1100X700 or so. Its about as fullscreen as I can get with the editor. Though the final vid has been dropped to 816X512 for file size purposes. And in compression it lost a little bit of contrast.

To answer the questions:

The map isnt finished yet. I am but one person. This is only a very small portion of the map, and it could take a very long while. I am however, toying with the idea of uploading an excel sheet with the relevant lighting settings.

And my computer specs:
-Q6600 OC'd to 2.8, but can easily go higher
-2 Gigs Mushkin Redline 1066 Ram-Downclocked to 933Mhz with 4-4-4-11 timings(Dont ask me why, but going to full 1066 gives me the infamous Nvlddmkm has stopped responding error)
-8800 Ultra Oc'd to 655 core and lets just say insane memory speeds
-Vista Ultimate 32bit
-Nice monitor with great response time and 1100:1 contrast ratio, but native resolution of 1280X1024
