Crysis Single Player Demo Feedback Thread

I'm having so much fun on Gears of War online, I sorta haven't cared much about Crysis.

About the full game

Just clocked the game.. took me 6 hours on Delta mode (hardest?)

Not one part of the game i didnt enjoy tbh.

Really nice storyline, cool levels (loved the leadup to the first alien discovery in the dig site).

Cool graphics as all know.. But what i think this game does so well is atmosphere. It really had that sense of "wow cool" and "can't wait to see what happens over this hill" feeling throughout, i was itching to see the aliens too. (im a sci-fi nerd), Laughing

It ran ok for me on High settings, 1024 res 8800GTS.

(average of 40 fps, lowest was 15 in huge congested areas)

Anyhow, really good and lived up to 99% of the hype Smile

6 hours? the guy probably rushed through it methinks, but we will see. Demo can be done in like 15 minutes for example.

It's forced in nHancer but i couldn't notice any difference with and w/o Aniso... i usually don't turn it on.

If all levels equal the demo one it's not hard to finish them in 30 minutes. There is no reason to fight a lot of enemies in the demo, just swim an sprint from objective to objective.

We'll see it this week! :)

Using sandbox, these guys enabled enhanced visuals not shown or not enabled in the single player demo map. All I wanna know is... can we make the game look like this. ^^

Yes, the custom maps were done with the content (textures, models, effects, prefabs, etc.) of the demo. The full game will of course have a lot more content to choose from or add into a custom map. It also wouldn't surprise me if guys that made custom maps like that would modify the game maps with jungles like that, after all one guy even made an ice version of the demo level a week after release.

I sure hope the full Crysis looks 80% of the time like this. Those are some juicy eye candies for sure, WOW!

Notice the framerates though? Never above 15. Imagine what it'd be during a firefight. :( Well under 10 I'm sure.

And just to clarify- I'm not complaining, just commenting. I am more than content playing this game at 1280x800 with 4xAA and all in-game options set to High. Looks good enough for me. :D
