Well I have to say this game officially runs like ASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's worse in the full version. It goes downhill after the first mission. First mission ran fine for me 25FPS+ with a mixture of High/Very High settings @ 1680x1050. Completely different story for the 2nd/3rd/4th missions. Not only am I getting frame rates in the teens, but my video and system memory are completely full. I'd recommend more than 2GB of memory for Crysis. At least if you want your very high textures.

How can you be so sure it's the RAM?

Video and system memory are full. It's eating up the page file, and gameplay is incredibly choppy because of it. :(

Guess that 4GB of RAM I recently purchased shall come in handy. :D Also, hopefully SLi will work properly in the full version- cause I'd throw my second GTS back in if it did.

From what I saw of the full version, 4GB of memory has a bigger effect than a going from dual core to quad, especially in Vista where you have 500MB of memory taken up before you even start playing it.

On the plus side, the new drivers that came out today seem to give the game a nice performance bump.

lol those new shots...are simply amazing..i love it ><. Gives Nvidia/ATI to push out GPU's to run this game smooth.
