Damn, these are going to be some sweet CPUs.

If I get anything it'd be a Q9450 but I wonder how high people will be able to push the E8500. I bet 4Ghz will be common on those things. :)

january seems just so far away.

I still can get Q6600 for about 160 bucks after selling my e6600.

I think i will have better chance/better price selling Q6600 later then selling E6600.

E8400 + 8800GT = WOW :D

Cheap but Powerful

I'm with you man, when's the last time we saw that kind of power for those kinds of prices?

I can't ever remember such a powerful GPU being so cheap...

Will the 680i boards handle the Q9450?

I just got off the ASUS sight and it list all 45NM processors are compatible for the Nvidea 680i chipset.

Looks like either the Q9450 or the Q9330 for me.Depends on how good the FSB overclocks my goal would be 3.66GHz.

How sweet would it be to have my memory running at 1:1 with one of these chips?

533 x 8 = 4.26Ghz :drooling:

That was what I was wondering if my Evga 680i SLI will handle the new CPU ,but if ASUS does ,I see no reason why Evga want.

You guys are getting your hopes up i have yet to see anyone with a quad do more then 430MHz FSB so i really don't think you are going to get 500MHz out of it.

mm are these comming out late 2008?

BTW...i wonder how ATI/AMD will be able to work with this...they are up against both nvidia and intel..both of which seem to be doing pretty good in there products :/...i sure hope AMD got something hidden because..if they go down -.-..prices are gonna be so high :/
