I need some help with the Xbox 360 Controller for windows. It's the wireless USB adapter working with a controller from my brothers Xbox. Windows Detects it and it works fine but nothing happens when I use it in a game. Please Help!

Maybe you are using it in games that don't support controller. If the controller works fine in control panel/gaming devices, you may need to enable joystick in game options. What games are you trying?.
Mine works perfectly in Dirt and Pro Evolution 2008, the only games I'm using it right now.

I am actually trying it in games like Rainbow Six Vegas and that game even has a setting for it and I enabled it. I've tried HL2 and that didn't work. The only one that has worked so far is the crysis demo.

Did you pair it with the receiver?

What do you mean?

Read the manual.
There is a little button on the USB dongle, and one on the 360 controller.

Yeah I did thats how it works with the Crysis demo. Rainbow Six Vegas doesn't work and HL2 dosen't work.

If it does work on Crysis and it does not work on R6V or HL2, you can blame those the games, not the controller. As I said before, if the device is detected and you can see axis and buttons (and they work) on control panel, then you can't do more.
Well, you can try this. Use a controller remap program to bind it to keyboard and mouse, for those games that won't support it. You can download SwitchBlade (http://www.switchbladegaming.com) for free, it emulates keyboard and mouse, they made this program for playing WoW with a 360 controller.

The controller should work with R6V but not HL2, R6v you need to turn the option on for it in the control panel.
R6V is a good game to play with the controller but HL2 even after 4 hours of mapping and tweaking just wasnt as fun as a mouse and keyboard.
