View Full Version : My massive DX9/10 graphics and tweaking analysis of Crysis demo
I'd like to know what tweaks to the config I have to add to make this game look like this:
I think the problem is sunbeams and foliage. The planets in the early screenshots were those plants with the big leaves. In the game we have a lot of those shrubs with the small leaves.
Also the sunbeams seem to penetrate more in the early shots. I can't get them to do that.

What I was wanting to see was some leaf transparency. I want to see the sun a little through the big fat leaves.

e_detail_materials_view_dist_xy = 4096
e_vegetation_sprites_distance_ratio = 1.5
e_view_dist_ratio_vegetation = 50
It's not the "best possible" but should be a lot better than the standard LOD settings. Just add them to your autoexec.cfg file in x:\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis SP Demo
