If you really think about it, Crysis may scare off more people with average rigs then Crytek would like.

If I had an average PC, and knew at least something about past SOF games, I would pick that up before Crysis, because I would assume my rig could handle SOF over Crysis.

but if those people seen videos of SOF they wouldn't want it anymore.

I know plenty of people that have average PC's and the game plays fine for them... but then again they set the options at levels that are playable for their system instead of screaming about "Why can't I run at 1900x1200 with 8xAA and 16xAF!?!"

Most people with "average" systems are average gamers and just want to play a good game... uber graphics at super resolutions generally isn't their thing. If anything, there will be more of these people that purchase the game than high enders... the majority of the complaints are from enthusiasts who have irrational performance expectations.

Crysis and it's mediocre performance is just going to annoy me and piss me off. SOF3 if it plays well looks twould be more fun! I'll take a game that plays smoothly over 20 FPS anyday.

I think Crysis is overrated. I have more fun with the Timeshift demo than shooting down trees in Crysis.

And here's a prime example of one of those people...

God forbid you can't play on the highest settings. If you don't like it, stick to consoles. ;)

I don't know, but considering what forum you're posting on I would wager you have a computer fully capable of playing the game. ;)

You live in the UAE. I think you Gold plated Quad 8800GTX with dual Q6850s and 16gb RAM should handle it fine. :D

I kid I kid. I shouldn't stereotype like that. :) But I have friends and family living over there. :D

If Crysis is scaring people off it's because when they get horrid FPS they probably aren't dropping to all medium settings.

Don't run high\very high with mainstream cards. They might be able to do texture, object, water, high and the rest medium.

Anywho folks need to stop running all very high if the game is only doing 20FPS @ the res they play.

I do texture, object, water very high, and the rest high. Does fine @ 1680x.
