Logitech MX510 without drivers?

I have a MX510 and use it without the Logitech drivers in Windows XP and everything seems to be running fine include all the buttons. My question is, without the drivers installed, am I getting the full 800dpi performance of the mouse or some standard Windows dpi setting?

I have that same mouse and I use it with my xp laptop...I do not notice any difference with the drivers....

I haven't noticed any difference not having the drivers installed other than only having 2 speeds to switch back and forth to for changing the mouse sensitivity on the fly where as, IIRC, you can set up 4 speeds with the drivers installed.
