View Full Version : 8800gt WaterCooled Performance, 775/2000/2000
alright guys here are numbers for some of the games I have, and COD4 demo, there is no AA applied in these games yet, I am testing AA right now, and I will update soon with those results.
I dont know the image tab is not working, Trying to insert my image. Found a workaround.

now 4xAA, please note I didnt bench crysis, because its not playable with AA turned on at those resolutions, not even with an ultra I have, I would personally choose higher resolution than lower resolution and AA, specially crysis when it looks so beautiful, probably the best looking game ever.

no it was not too demanding, with PP high my fps was 37average at 1680x1050 but it gave me a nice bump in fps to 44-45 when I set it to medium. it played fine with it on High, but setting it to medium gave me a nice boost and image quailty looked the same to me. got the evga superclocked gt, but I got it from frys local store, had a totally different part number and I thought it was the regular version but it was actually superclocked, didnt have any superclocked sticker.

Im curious too cuz i ordered 2 of these cards and what Danger Den Block will work with the GT?
37fps is absolutely playable, heck 32 is even playable in crysis, and it never dips below 31, because I got a quad core I guess,.
I have the maze5 gpu waterblock, need to get some ramsinks, but my room is pretty cool so I might just settle without them, since I will be upgrading in a few months to the next highend.
go to dangerden.com, and on the front page they have some info about the gt, with full coverage block coming soon, I dont think I will be getting the full coverage as this one is working great, and no need as I will be upgrading to the next highend when it comes out.
I have settled at final clocks of 792/1944/2000, lowering the shaderclock a little allowed me to raise the core clock by 17mhz, so I believe that is a good tradeoff.

Grats on your card those are awesome numbers IMO. Looks like nVidia made a real winner and it doesn't cost a lot.

How about a compare link to your score?
here is a link to even better score, I acutually overclocked my processor to 3.8 before it was at 3.6, but at 3.8 I got 15799.

Are you blind? Its few posts above, lol:captnkill:
its a superclocked gt by evga, and yes it is totally stable at those speeds but I wanted to get some more on the core, so in order to get more core I lowered the shaders to 1900 and tuned the core up to 792. so the final clocks I have settled at are 792/1900/2000, and I have played timeshift on it today for about 3-4 hours non-stop at those settings.
I'm finding these cards are very affected by temp. It seems if you can up the fan speed to cool them down by 10*C you can up the core about 20mhz+.
With my fans on full I can get 720/1710/2050, but they're just too damn loud, so i'm sticking at 700/1700/2000 at 58% fan speed.
